Facing Adversity on the Spiritual Journey to Enlightenment

Today is August 31, 2007 and Satsang is conducted by Yudhishtara once a month in Hollywood, California at the Bhodi Tree and his website at www.yudhishtara.com is there to provide a point of view that will help one to accept who you really are without trying to discover who you are while on the spiritual journey to enlightenment and a better understanding of Facing Adversity. In his chapter - Facing Adversity - Yudhishtara talks about a man facing adversity. Take a read of Facing Adversity and remember that it is always worth the visit to read the chapter.
“I’ve been helping a friend of mine who is the president of a major company which is facing a lot of difficulties. I’ve been going there almost every day. He’s trying to figure out what would be the best way for them to stop losing money and to stop laying off people.”

Spiritual Enlightenment - A Relative Life

Satsang is conducted by Yudhishtara once a month in Hollywood, California at the Bhodi Tree and his website at www.yudhishtara.com is there to provide a point of view that will help one to accept who you really are without trying to discover who you are. In his chapter - A Relative Life - Yudhishtara talks about the outside pressures to conform. Take a read and remember that it is always worth the visit to read the chapter.

“I’ve got to remind myself many times that it’s my life. Many times I see that other people want to tell me how to have my life. When I really look at it, I sometimes wonder if I am being arrogant to want to run my own life. Is it better to have somebody else run my life? Is my life to be somehow or another run another way? I don’t know.”

Spiritual Enlightenment - When It Hurts

Yudhishtara and his website at www.yudhishtara.com are here to provide a point of view that will help you to accept who you are without trying to discover who you are. In his chapter - When It Hurts - Yudhishtara begins the chapter with the following two paragraphs. The conclusion of the chapter is worth the visit.
“We enter a form that we call human and with that form we have inherited certain characteristics and qualities.
We have the ability to think. We have the ability to decide things. We can see things. We can touch things. We can smell things. We can question things. We have emotions. We have feelings. We have desires. We have plans. We have all these things.”

Look Within for Spiritual Enlightenment

Yudhishtara shares with us the thoughts and ideas that his teacher shared with him, and no matter how one says it the message is always the same – look within. The outside world is created from within and no matter how hard one looks outside, the answer is always going to be inside. The following is the first paragraph from the chapter titled, “Everything is Within” from the free online book, “The Beloved Mystery Within You”.
In India there is a day where we celebrate our teachers. We thank our teacher for showing us that our ultimate Teacher is inside our own hearts. Poonja-ji, who has left his form, is still with us in our hearts. He is always in mine. If it weren’t for him I don’t know where I would be. I had searched and searched and gone from place to place and from book to book. Poonja-ji was the one who showed me that everything was inside of me and that there was no place to look outside of me. I will always be grateful to him for showing me that!

Mother Teresa - Vigilance

Yudishtara has often said that after the experience of enlightenment one must remain vigilant. The world knows that Mother Teresa was a very enlightened woman and knew The Beloved Mystery Within Herself very well. Yet, in the news reports from Reuters it is clear that she too had periods of doubt even after the experience of enlightenment.

Reuters reported on their website tonight, August 26, 2007 from KOLKATA, India that the saintly nun Mother Teresa experienced emptiness like any other human being and the letters she shared with her colleagues portrayed and revealed her humility the Archbishop of Kolkata is reported to have said to Reuters from Calcutta, where the saintly reverend nun lived most of her life.

Reuters reported on their website tonight, August 26, 2007 from KOLKATA, India that a book of letters written by Mother Teresa of Calcutta, now known by the spelling Kolkata, has revealed that she was deeply tormented about her faith and suffered periods of doubt about God.

Reuters reported on their website tonight, August 26, 2007 from KOLKATA, India quoting the Reverend Lucas Sircar who knew her in Calcutta for most of her working days there that “she remained steadfast on her way to holiness, such was her greatness."

Oneness with Facets

Yudhishtara is here to help us move forward and find joy in our mind games that we play with ourselves on our way to accept who we are and discover that we are truly enlightened and that our search for Spiritual Enlightenment is over – once we accept, experience or know that we know.

All of this sounds like mumbo jumbo sometimes and on more than one occasion Yudhishtara is challenged by someone in Satsang or as it happened in the chapter One or Two, from Yudhishtara’s free online book, “The Beloved Mystery Within You” on his answering machine.

“I received a message on my answering machine that told me that if I truly believed the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, Poonja-ji, and some of the other beautiful beings that existed, then I would not separate myself from the Beloved: “All the teachings say that we are one. If you are one and the same with the Beloved, then you can’t speak about the Beloved or to the Beloved because you are one. You can’t make any differentiations if you are one and the same. Thus, by making a differentiation, you are implying that you have not reached the place of oneness. And that being the case, you don’t understand oneness.”

One or Two is the chapter that has the remainder of the chapter. Please click on the link and read the entire chapter when you have time – may all your dreams come true.

Spiritual Slavery is False

Yudhishtara conductgs Satsang and maintains his website at www.yudhishtara.com to help us all find enlightenment, Spiritual Enlightenment, which is attainable because we already have attained the state of enlightenment. We are, therefore we are enlightened. The fact that we think we are not and are looking for answers is something that our mind has convinced us is true.

The following paragraph is from the chapter titled
Spiritual Slavery.

Click on the link above when you are ready to read the entire chapter from Yudhishtara's free online book, "The Beloved Mystery Within You".

"What kind of a life is that? If you were the Beloved, would you design us to be so robotic in nature that everything we do would be based on your exact instructions for each and every one of us at every moment? If you were the Beloved, wouldn’t you look at this creation and be absolutely bored with it? What would you have you done? But to give the spark of life … and to give consciousness … and then say, “Go—do—feel!” Then if you are witnessing all these things, you could say, “How interesting! I love all the ramifications of this creation.” This is why the Beloved loves us. How can the Beloved not love each and every one of us no matter what we may or may not be doing. After all, we are part of the consciousness that is the Beloved Itself."

Enlightenment is Perspective

Perspective is the chapter the Yudhishtara makes the enlightened point that there are many ways to discover the Mystery of That. In this special Satsang conversation Shivakti has chosen a wonderful moment for Yudhishtara to help us all to accept ourselves as we are, our personal experiences as our own and as valid as anyone else’s experiences and most important of all that your experience with The Beloved Mystery Within You is as valid as any other being in the Universe. In Perspective Yudhishtara writes, “So you have to be kind to yourself, to give credit to yourself for your acknowledging this stuff in a very real way. If it is possible to make comparisons, this is more beautiful than being a jnani only. This is appreciating both the jnani and the bigger picture at the same time.”

Find What You Are Looking For - Inside

Yudhishtara has struggled our struggle in his life; he has searched as we have searched; he has read as we read; he has known sorry and heartache and happiness, as we have known these emotions. Most importantly for him, he discovered That and he is putting out his experiences and knowledge in the belief that is will be helpful to us in discovering That. Below is a portion from his book and click on the link to read the remainder of the text.

I Know What It's Like

I have tasted so many things. Because of that, I can share with you what I have learned and what I have unlearned.

I hope you may contemplate what I have said. It will save you much time and many heartaches.

I am not saying any of this because I’m imagining it. I have tasted these things and I am asking you to not waste this precious life. Find That that is always there—in you!

My Beloved

Last night was Satsang at the Bhodi Treee conducted by Yudhishtara. There was a free passout of Yudhishtara thoughts from previous Satsangs. The free passout was prepared by Shivakti and on behalf of all in attendance I would like to thank her for providing it. Below are two of the paragraphs provided to all in attendance last night, August 22, 2007.

There are many many definitions, religions, beliefs and opinions as to what God is, who God is not, if there is a God, if there is not a God, the specifications of a God or the non-specifications of a God, what the beginning of things was, what the end of things will be, who did what to whom, and all these questions we have about these subjects.

Because of all that and because of the search I had for many, many years in trying to find the answer to these questions, in order to make my life peaceful for myself I came up with calling all of that my Beloved.

Enlightenment - The Beloved Mystery

The path to being enlightened is very simple when one is following the advice of Yudhishtara. In his free online book, “The Beloved Mystery Within You” Yudhishtara tells us the “Falling in love with the Beloved is very, very easy. It doesn’t require any great expertise in anything (and most certainly not in Eastern religion). We become involved with all kinds of different spiritual paths (from going to the local temple to esoteric books, etc.). We want to achieve many different things (but of course we want the enlightened experience). We want to be enlightened. We want to be wise. We want to be the best Christian, the best Buddhist, the best this, the best that. We do all these different things. And that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with any of these things.

For more information on today’s information, please go online and read the text in its entirety at http://www.yudhishtara.com/notcomplicated.html

Satsang is August 22, 2007 in 3 Days

We would like to remind everyone that this is the week that Yudhishtara will be conducting Satsang in Los Angeles, California at the Bhodi Tree Book Store on Melrose Avenue at 7:30 PM, Pacific Standard Time. The topic is open for all to bring their questions and answers for all and any questions that have to do with what you are thinking about.

Please visit www.yudhishtara.com and read one or two chapters of Yudhishtara's free online book, "The Beloved Mystery Within You". I can personally testify that the words are different, but the same every time I read them. Is it the experience of day to day living and then deeper meaning, simpler meaning, just plain better understanding of the words? Check it out for yourself.

Enlightenment - The Wave Analogy

Today I would like to present an excerpt from Yudhishtara’s free online book, “The Beloved Mystery Within You, specifically from the chapter – The Ocean – found at the url: http://www.yudhishtara.com/theocean.html.

Yudhishtara asks us to, “Just pretend we are one of these waves and we are having a discussion with the other waves. We can be discussing things pertaining to waves and water. We can be running around having a lot of fun—jumping up and down and looking at the foam, comparing our height to somebody else’s height. We can talk about all our accomplishments and adventures as waves.”

Pretending to be a wave is a metaphor for being a human being, but that is obvious when one is sitting in Satsang. Yudhishtara then continues, “We are playing and looking around. Suddenly we hear a tremendous noise that we haven’t heard before. We look harder and some of us see that pretty soon we are going to hit the shore and the sand. Then this gigantic natural fear takes over us and we say. I am going to disappear. And this horrible fear takes over.”

We will fight through the fear or be conquered by the fear, but in the end the wave ends up on the sand and then it discovers that it is water – has been water, was water and will always be water – it has not be annihilated.

Yudhishtara theme in the chapter is letting us know that we are THAT; we were never born and we will never die.

Today I would like to share a few paragraphs from Yudhishtara’s free online book, “The Beloved Mystery Within You” from his words on meditation - http://www.yudhishtara.com/meditation.html - with special focus on enlightenment, spiritual enlightenment or other in basic terms, knowing who we are.

Yudhishtara writes and we quote, “On the other hand, meditation-as-enlightenment is not so much about having a peaceful mind all the time. Meditation is knowing what we are continually—24 hours a day. Meditation as enlightenment is being in touch with who we truly are, even while we are distracted by the fretful things of life.”

Yudhishtara goes on to share with us that “Once we know who we are, once we are in touch with what this entity we call “I” is, there is no need for any concentrations to put us into a state of any further knowing of this. We are always aware of what we are and there is an abiding sense of security that comes with this.”

Enlightenment is not a Complex Kind of Thing

Yudhishtara writes in his free online book, "The Beloved Mystery Within You" that Enlightenment is not a severely complex kind of thing (that one is going to attain. Yudhishtara says that contrary to what we may believe, it is not going to be cannons firing into the sky and all of a sudden you are going to know something that happens to only to a select few people and not to others (and ipso facto - no you, for whatever reason). He says, "It isn’t that suddenly we are above it all and everything is perfectly smooth in our lives or that we no longer have to face the daily situations of life" (because once and for all we are enlightened).

Yudhishtara has written a wonderful book, but of course it was taken from Satsang and it is here that he shares with you his view of the world, the view of life and the view of what it means to discover - The Beloved Mystery Within You. While there is much to be discussed, maybe, and there is much to question and answer - to discover and meet the Beloved is to no more than desire to love the Beloved - and in that there is nothing else to do. Desire to meet, desire to love the Beloved and Englightenment is assured.

Visit Yudhishtara at www.yudhishtara.com.

Satsang - August 22, 2007

Yudhishtara has a website at www.yudhishtara.com in which he has made available to all his free online book, "The Beloved Mystery within You" and the free book of poetry by Shivakti, "In Love with the Beloved".

For those of you searching for spiritual enlightenment, Yudhishtara's website will provide you all the words that one will ever need to read to find spiritual enlightenment.

Yudhishtara also makes himself available for questions and answers once a month at the Bhodi Tree Bookstore on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California. There is never any fee or charge for the Truth or visiting with Yudhishtara. He will tell you to be kind to yourself for just one moment. Relax and put no pressure on yourself to achieve truth. You have more than enough information about spiritual enlightenment, consciousness, Truth and God. In many circumstances you have too much information or misinformation about the Truth and spirituality. Go to his website and read one or two pages from his book (the entire book is available for you) or if you are in Los Angeles, California on August 22, 2007, come visit with Yudhishtara and talk together about the Truth.
